Pornography is a multibillion dollar industry and Utah ranks as a state with the highest use of online pornography. Paucity of research porn use is poorly understood in terms of sexual literacy and body satisfaction. Research suggests that individuals who use pornography may have higher sexual literacy and lower body satisfaction, with different effects for men and women. However, age has not been examined in relation to sexual literacy, body satisfaction, and pornography use. The current study examined age of sex education, pornography use sexual literacy, and body satisfaction in a sample of men and women in Utah through an online survey. We expect to find that participants who engage in pornography had greater sexual knowledge and were more willing to participate in sexual activities. The findings may facilitate sexual literacy accurate information compared to pornography, body satisfaction, and gender.
