This paper delves into the complex relationship Heber J. Grant had between money and spirituality--two things known to struggle to blend like oil and water. His efforts to balance spiritual and practical thins are illustrated, illuminating Heber's Christ-like character and his pursuits to reconcile his will to God's. Heber's strong resolve to follow God anchored him in humility while pursuing business success. Because of Heber's willingness, the Lord used Heber's competencies to accumulate wealth for institutions and individuals in need. Heber transformed into exactly who the Lord need him to be.
