This dance explores the kinematic connection between dance and happiness. The Greek word Kefi refers to feelings of joy, spirit, passion, happiness, triumph, mojo, excitement, feeling good, having fun, and loving life. This piece explores these emotions as felt through movement. The movement and the music go hand in had to create a harmonious relationship. The movement was heavily inspired by the various layers in the music. The movement also explores the feeling of kefi through connection between individual self, partners, and as a community. Together, the dancers create the feeling of kefi through various snapshots of movement depicting happy moments found throughout life.
