The incredible advancement in technology since the turn of the twenty-first century has led to the development of online curriculums and the spread of both true and false information. The use of video technology to transmit knowledge and data has increased exponentially, however there are still relatively few engaging videos regarding patient education in the field of neurobiology. In addition, many patients (especially those affected by neurological disorders) do not have long periods of engagement and it has been shown that viewers retain more information from short videos (4 - 5 minutes) rather than long ones. The objective of this project is to create an engaging and educational series of short videos based on primary research that are free and easily accessible for patients and their families. Furthermore, the content for each video relates to the field of neurobiology in order to teach a general knowledge of the nervous system and include an overview of several neurological disorders. Each video created for this project is to be published to YouTube and, pending approval from the Southern Utah Administrator of the St. George Clinic, to the Revere Health website. Each video includes references that contain all of the research used to create the video as well as any interviews conducted with medical professionals (specifically, the St. George Clinic). This project aims to provide the general population with a general background in and familiarity with neurobiology as it relates to patient health.
