Dogs and Dehumanization

Dogs have consistently played an important role in our society. They are frequently used as symbols, often of loyalty and friendship. However, they have also been used to show when a group of people are seen as less than human. Through my research I focused on when people would describe slaves and black people as dogs and the connotation associated with it.
