A common skills taxonomy would help bridge the gap between employers and potential hires. To gain further insight into whether a skills taxonomy is a helpful solution, we developed a model using the algorithm of Word2Vec that can classify jobs based on the skills required and skills based on their correlating jobs. Our model can illustrate the similarities between jobs based on their shared or similar skills. Our simulation results can help individuals get direction in terms of determining their careers based on which skills are most desired.
